He graduated from the prestigious Ankara University’s Faculty of Law in 1985 and returned to Cyprus where he became one of the first male lawyers in North Cyprus. he has over 25 years of experience practising law throughout North Cyprus. He is a member of the Cyprus Turkish Bar Association and the Kyrenia District Bar Association.
Atty Kamal Kamil has advised on numerous property disputes as well as conveyancing matters since 1990, and with the establishment of the Immovable Property Commission, he has been representing his clients at the hearings held before the Commission as well.

In his long career he has advised some of the leading local and international corporations in relation to their activities in North Cyprus. Some of his clients include the Evkaf Foundation, Ziraat Bank (Turkey), Vakıf Bank (Cyprus), HSBC, Albank, Levi Strauss, Quiksilver, Crocs, Caterpillar and Nike Inc. He is fluent in Turkish and English.
He has contributed to the legal profession in North Cyprus by training several advocates who are now successful in their professions. In addition, Atty Kamal Kamil has been carrying out pro bono and charitable services since 1990 and is proudly continuing to do so.
